TAKE CARE OF WHAT YOU LOVE

MATERIAL & CARE

FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION

COME TO STAY

The pieces in the collection build on each other and complement each other in terms of lines and functionality. Even after many years, we give you the opportunity to find your favorite piece in our range in a different color or material combination, or slightly modified with the same fit and quality. In addition, thanks to the good combinability, which we take into account during development, you can put together numerous looks with just a few items of clothing.

DURABLE

We design fashion free from seasonal trends, reinterpreted classics, minimalist and high quality. For us, the appreciation of textiles and the perfection of a cut are essential prerequisites for sustainable design.

FAIR

If you choose NNIstudio, you are not only choosing an attractive and high-quality design, but also social responsibility through production in small German companies.

TRANSPARENT

We know how, where and by whom our garments are made. We want to provide our customers with information about our supply chain so they too can build a connection with their new NNIstudio piece.

Here we have presented our supply chain.

DIRECT

We take care of everything ourselves: from design, material selection, model construction and production to advice and sales. This minimizes overproduction and enables us to respond to demand at short notice.

MADE IN GERMANY

Thanks to production in Germany, we can guarantee fair and high-quality production, which we personally oversee without having to travel long distances.

By valuing textile craftsmanship, we want to help keep long-established businesses alive. By purchasing from NNIstudio, you enable a long-term collaboration that gives the producer more planning security. The value of our clothing is characterized by high craftsmanship quality and will accompany you for the rest of your life.

A NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE

We work directly with manufacturers who share our passion for the best materials and workmanship and who take the time to pay attention to quality.

From the thread to the finished garment. The seamless 3D knitting technology also guarantees careful use of resources, as the yarns used are 100% knitted and therefore no waste is generated during production.

A knitting machine produces a sweater in about 60 to 90 minutes. This means that the maximum production per machine is only about 14 pieces/day. Seamless knitting is therefore a technology for small, individual productions.

OUR MINIMALIST DESIGNS PUT THE MATERIAL AND THE WORKMANSHIP AT THE FOCUS OF THE COLLECTIONS

When selecting materials, we primarily rely on natural raw materials and textiles. They give the designs the perfect feel, a high level of comfort and the longest possible durability. We sometimes take several months to develop individual models. A kind of slowing down in favor of quality.

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE MATERIALS WE USE

VISCOSE

VISCOSE | MODAL | LYOCELL | TENCEL

Our viscose fabrics are made from beechwood or bamboo fibers. This process is particularly environmentally friendly for Lyocell/Tencel and Modal.

CARE TIPS:

  • May shrink by approx. 4% when washed
  • 30°C delicate wash
  • Hang to dry & iron on medium heat
COTTON

We use fabrics made from certified organic cotton, which are absolutely easy to care for.

CARE TIPS:

  • 30°C mild detergent
  • Hang to dry
  • Iron at medium heat
LINEN

Our hard-wearing linen blends are pleasantly cool on the skin, breathable and odor-neutralizing, especially in summer. The dirt-repellent material is also grown in a resource-saving manner.

CARE TIPS:

  • Becomes softer & a little wider when worn
  • 30°C delicate wash
  • Hang to dry
  • Iron inside out at medium heat
COOL WOOL

Coolwool is a particularly light, smooth fabric that doesn't scratch. Its air permeability and optimal heat exchange make it the perfect companion for the whole year.

CARE TIPS:

  • 30°C delicate wash with wool detergent
  • Low spin speed!!
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Hang to dry in shape
  • Iron inside out at low temperature
MIXED FABRICS

We love 100% pure materials. But sometimes we can't resist mixing the benefits of different fibers to give your garment the best wearing and care properties.

CARE TIPS:

  • 30-40°C Easy to care
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Iron at medium heat
MERINO WOOL

Of course, our merino wool is mulesing-free. It airs out well, so it hardly needs washing.

CARE TIPS:

  • Hand wash or in the cold hand wash program in the washing machine
  • Dry flat
  • If necessary, lightly steam with an iron
COTTON (ORGANIC)

We use particularly fine Egyptian organic cotton, which is grown, harvested and processed in a socially and environmentally responsible manner as part of the "Cottonforlife" initiative. It feels good and is super soft on the skin.

CARE TIPS:

  • 30°C - 40°C delicate wash
  • Shape wet and dry flat
  • If necessary, iron inside out with little pressure
BAMBOO

Due to the way they are manufactured, our jackets and coats cannot be washed in a household machine. And you don't have to: We use a viscose lining that is 50% bamboo and is therefore not only very pleasant on the skin, but also has an antibacterial and odor-neutralizing effect - if necessary, please only have them professionally cleaned!

THE SELECTION OF THE PERFECT MATERIAL IS THE BASIS OF THE NNIstudio COLLECTIONS

Your NNI STUDIO garment lives with you, and just like you, garments made from natural materials change over time. It is precisely these material-specific properties that influence the development of our designs: For example, we want a light summer knit sweater made from 100% cotton to become a little wider with wear. Fabrics made from cellulose fibers such as viscose can shrink a little when washed, while linen or cotton become a little firmer and wider with wear.

AS NATURAL AS POSSIBLE

Soft fabrics, such as our merino wool knits, tend to form small pilling knots in places that are subject to strong friction. These can be easily removed. We consciously accept this in order to be able to offer you "real" wool that regulates temperature and odor. We do not want to chemically alter it, as is common on the fashion market, so that it no longer pills, but loses its excellent natural properties, which in our opinion clearly outweigh the disadvantages.

Please do not dry the clothes in the dryer for the sake of their appearance and the environment. A dryer can only help to make "out-of-shape" knitted cotton or linen sweaters a little smaller again.

You can use mild detergent for all materials. However, wool benefits from special wool detergent and colored clothes should be washed with color detergent.

Iron garments inside out to avoid iron shine on the outside.

In general, clothes should be washed as infrequently as possible, as every wash cycle damages the textile fibers. You should therefore always wash at a low spin speed and inside out to reduce the mechanical stress somewhat. Since we work with natural, odor-neutralizing materials, regular airing replaces a few washes.

You can dry your garment in its shape. This means that garments that tend to shrink when washed should be ironed while still wet and hung on a hanger to dry. On the other hand, if it is hung to dry, it will stretch. It is best to lay it flat on a terry towel to dry and make sure that it is not stretched too much in length or width.
